The mission of the Millburn Police Department is to serve and protect the residents, businesses and visitors to Millburn-Short Hills. The Millburn Police recognizes that quality of life issues are important to the community. The police will patrol the municipality and enforce the laws of the State of New Jersey and the ordinances of the Township of Millburn.

The Millburn Police Department values integrity, respect, honesty, service and fairness. Officers will always act in a professional manner and exhibit these values in their daily activities and in their interactions with the public. We will provide service in a courteous, efficient, and accessible manner. All officers and employees will treat all people with respect and fairness regardless of a person’s religion, creed, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, nationality or handicap.

The Millburn Police Department consist of 54 sworn police officer and over 40 non-sworn personnel who provide twenty-four hour protection and service to the municipality.
