Lackawanna Coalition

The Lackawanna Coalition is an independent non-profit organization that advocates for better service on the Morris & Essex (M&E) and Montclair-Boonton rail lines operated by New Jersey Transit, as well as on connecting transportation. The Coalition was founded in 1979 by commuters in Millburn who were deeply concerned about the quality of their rail service.

Cora Hartshorn Arboretum & Bird Sanctuary

The Cora Hartshorn Arboretum and Bird Sanctuary is a nonprofit organization which serves as a cultural and educational center for the residents of greater Millburn Township for the purpose of fostering, through demonstration and participation, awareness and respect for nature and the environment.

Millburn Township Special Improvement District

The purpose of a Special Improvement District (SID) is to promote, grow and support local businesses, property owners, residents and visitors. Millburn Township's SID ordinance designates a new District Management Corporation (DMC) whose mission is to encourage the economic, cultural and social vitality of Millburn Township through increased marketing and visibility, improved and renewed infrastructure and local business development and engagement. Greenwood Gardens

Greenwood Gardens is a 28-acre formal Italianate garden within a naturalistic landscape of majestic trees, wildflower meadows, ponds, and cultivated woodlands, all set against 2,100 acres of South Mountain Reservation. Adjacent to Old Short Hills Park, Greenwood is a nonprofit public garden endorsed by the Garden Conservancy as one of 16 exceptional gardens in the U.S.

Millburn Free Public Library

The Millburn Free Public Library serves the residents of the Township with a collection of over 115,000 books and other circulating materials. Access to the catalog of the Library, the High School Library, and the Middle School Library is available online. Some full text periodical databases are also accessible for home use to registered users. Open Monday - Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays are open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.; and on Sundays from 1 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Millburn Short Hills 4th of July

The Millburn Short Hills 4th of July Committee is a voluntary, nonprofit organization striving to bring the festivities of our nation's celebration to Millburn Township every year. Parades, softball, family events, and Taylor Park full of kid's rides makes up the morning and afternoon festivities. The evening leads us to the best Fireworks display in the area right from the High School. An events agenda and other information such as sponsorship opportunities is available.

Millburn Township Public Schools

Millburn Township has an excellent school system. New Jersey Magazine has ranked the Millburn Township school system among the top 3 school districts in the state. In addition, Township schools also receive a national ranking as having one of the most academically challenging high schools in the country, offering many advance placement courses to students who excel in those classes.

Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary, nonprofit organization that strives to bring hundreds of businesses and professional firms together in order to create and sustain a healthy and viable business and residential community.

Millburn-Short Hills Historical Society

The Millburn-Short Hills Historical Society was founded in 1975 to research and preserve the history of Millburn and Short Hills, and to educate residents and scholars about that history. The society's archives are housed in a museum which is the westbound train station building at the Short Hills railroad station (located on the Racquets Club side). The museum is open for visitors and browsing on Wednesday, 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Thursday, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.; and the 1st Sunday of the month, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Millburn-Short Hills Volunteer First Aid Squad

The Millburn-Short Hills Volunteer First Aid Squad is currently in its 43rd year of providing first aid for the Millburn-Short Hills community.

Paper Mill Playhouse

Founded in 1934, Paper Mill Playhouse is a professional Equity theatre seating 1,200 and attracts approximately 425,000 theatre-goers each season. Paper Mill offers a full range of cultural events including musicals, plays, and children’s programs along with New Jersey Ballet’s Nutcracker during the holiday season. Paper Mill is proud to be one of the few theatres in the country to be fully accessible to people with disabilities, serving over 4,000 people annually. Group, senior, and student discounts are available.

SAGE Eldercare

SAGE Eldercare is a website that serves as a trusted resource for eldercare. Sage Eldercare is an organization devoted "to support the independence, well-being and quality of life of older adults, their families and caregivers, through the provision of client-centered health, social and support services."

New Jersey Municipal Management Association, Inc.

The New Jersey Municipal Management Association (NJMMA) is an organization of professional local government administrators and assistants whose goal is to improve the quality of local government in New Jersey through professional management. The Association creates an information network offering the free flow of ideas thereby enhancing each member's ability to deal with the problems and pressures of the profession.

New Jersey State League of Municipalities

The New Jersey State League of Municipalities is a voluntary association created to help communities do a better job of self-government through pooling information resources and brain power.

Knollwood Civic Association

The Knollwood Civic Association is a Short Hills, New Jersey neighborhood organization whose mission is to foster a sense of neighborhood and neighborliness; to provide a mechanism to communicate ideas and concerns that are important to individual residents and/or the neighborhood; and to represent the neighborhood in Township matters.
