Vaccine Information for Seniors
Homebound Seniors Vaccine Program Information
The Millburn Health, Welfare and Human Services Department, through its “Home Bound Vaccination Initiative Program” is trying to collect the names and contact information of homebound residents, in an effort to provide the COVID-19 vaccinations directly to them in their homes.
The Department considers you homebound if:
- You are unable to leave your home due to medical reasons (illness or injury) and have a caregiver or home health aide at home that must assist you on a regular basis.
- It is unsafe for you to attend doctor’s appointments outside of your home and leaving the house would require considerable and taxing effort.
Please contact the Millburn Health Department at (973) 535-7961 ext. 231 and provide the resident’s name, phone number and address. If you have any questions, you can email Ana Millan at firstname.lastname@example.org and use the subject header: “homebound resident”.
If you reside outside of Millburn, it is advised that you contact your township health department since each municipality is coordinating similar efforts for its own homebound residents.
Residents who are mobile and able to make trips outside of the home, may register online at www.essexcovid.org or covid19.nj.gov/vaccine. If you have any vaccine or registration questions, please contact the Essex County COVID Vaccine Center at (973) 877-8456.
