  • Replacement of appliances (water heaters, boilers and furnaces) and electrical outlets and services do require permits, however fees will be waived. These items can be installed on an emergency basis with the stipulation that a permit be applied for within 5 working days. Inspections must be performed to verify code compliance.
  • Any structural damage will require permits. The damage should be assessed by a structural engineer, architect or builder/contractor. Repairs can be made (depending on the severity of the damage) on an emergency basis and permits applied for within 5 working days. Fee will be waived.
  • Please be advised that any repair work due to the flood that requires a building permit should be submitted before November 30 for the exemption of the fees.
