[ARCHIVED] Complete Streets Construction Update

Complete Streets Construction Update 11/21/2016
Over the next week Flanagan’s Construction will be working on the following tasks:
Pouring concrete from Clemenza’s to Spring St

Installing ADA ramp on the southeast (Verizon Building) corner of Spring St and Millburn Ave

Forming curb on the northwest corner of Spring St and Millburn Ave

Grouting midblock granite sections and pavers on Millburn Ave
Installing pavers and handy cap ramp on the Crepe Corner
Bollards, planters, and benches will be placed

Milling of the Town Hall parking lot

Work completed during the week of 11/14/2016:
Milling, paving and striping of Millburn Ave from Spring Street to Main Street

Installed conduits and drainage from Pet Store to Spring Street

Finished curbs and pouring of sidewalk from Pet Store to Spring Street

Filled planting beds with top soil

Businesses on the south side of Millburn Ave are open!
Millburn Pet Shop
Clemenza's Brick Oven Pizza
Avenue Salvage

Please be aware, the following traffic patterns regarding Main Street have changed: 
• No left turn from Millburn Ave. to Main St.
• No left turn from Essex St. to Main St.
• No left turn from Main St. to Essex St.

Phase 1 of Complete Streets construction is expected to last through the fall with an anticipated completion date in November. The Downtown area will remain open for business and pedestrian foot traffic during construction.
