On or about Monday, August 3rd the Township will begin construction involving a milling operation on portions Knollwood Road, Forest Drive, Chatham Road, and Park Place. This will be followed by a final paving operation on Wednesday, August 5th, weather permitting. Access to these roads for the paving portion of the work on Wednesday, August 5th will be fully restricted for the entire day. Residents are required to remove their vehicles prior to 7:00am on ¬¬¬¬August 3rd. Parking is permitted on the nearby side streets. The township respectfully requests that residents use alternate routes whenever possible so as not to impede the work and to provide a safe construction area.
Access to these roads may be delayed for a period of time beyond the end of the work day on August 5th to prevent jeopardizing the quality of the newly laid pavement. The township appreciates your patience and consideration.
Property owners who must park overnight on a Municipal street due to construction activities must notify Sgt. Mike Fattal at (973) 564-7033. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Township Engineering Department at (973) 564-7050.
