[ARCHIVED] Town Hall Plaza and Essex St. & Main St. Milling and Resurfacing: Friday June 16th

On Friday, June 16th, Flanagan’s Contracting will be begin base coating Town Hall Plaza (new road) and Lot 6 by Town Hall between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM. At 9:00 PM a portion of Essex Street, across from the Department of Public Works and at the entrance of Town Hall Plaza will be milled for resurfacing. This will result in the closure of one lane in that area for the evening. 


At 10:00 PM there will be a full closure at the intersection of Essex Street and Main Street for milling and resurfacing. The road is expected to be reopened by 6:00 AM on Saturday, June 17th. Town Hall Plaza will also be paved over night. Striping of the roadways will follow the paving, but are not expected to have any major impact to traffic.


Detours will be put in place for the intersection closure. Please use caution in and around the area and plan an alternate route through this area after 10:00pm. Police and traffic control will be on scene. All work is weather dependent. Thank you for your continued patience.
