Original Message

On or about Tuesday, May 12, a milling and paving project will begin on Old Short Hills Road between Essex Street and Parsonage Hill Road.

The project will begin with road milling, which is expected to last approximately three days, weather permitting. Work hours are 7:30 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. There will be a partial closure of Old Short Hills Road during this phase, with traffic permitted Northbound only in the work area. Police will be on-site directing traffic. Please plan alternate routes.

Once milling is completed, two to three days of iron work will follow before paving begins. Expect a full closure of the road during the paving portion.

Updates and any changes to the project schedule will be shared on the Township website, social media pages and SwiftReach.
