Millburn Township Public Safety Officials are asking residents to create profiles with Smart911 that will share important information with local 911 first responders.
With Smart911, anytime a resident makes an emergency call from a phone registered to their Safety Profile, the 911 system will recognize that phone number and automatically display critical information that can assist the dispatcher in providing aid during an emergency situation. This is a nationwide service, meaning that a Safety Profile travels with you and is visible to any participating 911 center nationwide.
Residents may choose to include addresses, medical information, home information, additional family members, pet and vehicle descriptions and emergency contacts in their Smart911 profiles and can remove or update this information at any time.
